Already in 1936, our seamless steel cylinders were used for the drive of the cars. At that time, the synthetically made gas – coal gas was used. The coal gas was obtained by pressure gasification of the brown coal with oxygen and water vapor. Coal gas is a mixture of hydrogen, methane, nitrogen, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and small quantities of other gases. Currently Compressed Natural Gas - CNG, which is a full-fledged alternative to oil-based fuels, is being used for the drive of the cars. It is a readily available source that goes far beyond oil reserves. In addition, it is an environmentally friendly fuel.
